Delete your account.

This page explains how to request deletion of your account for Mareas y Más (Tides & More, package com.uvita.tides), developed by Andrey Azofeifa Guerrero (Uvita Studio, Uvita, Costa Rica).

You do not need to sign in on this website to request deletion. Anyone can read these instructions; only we process requests sent from the email associated with your account (see below).

1 — How to request deletion

Follow these steps:

  1. From the email address linked to your account, send a message to hola@mareasymas.com.
  2. Use the subject line: Delete my account (Spanish: Borrar mi cuenta).
  3. If you signed in with Apple and use a private relay address, write from that address or clearly state the login email (including Apple Hide My Email addresses).
  4. If you cannot email from that address, explain which provider you used (Google or Apple) and include enough detail for us to locate your account; we may ask for additional verification.

2 — What we delete

After we verify your request, we delete:

  • Firebase Authentication — your account record (email, display name, phone number if present, and user ID / UID).
  • Adapty profile — customer user ID (linked to your Firebase UID), email, first and last name, and custom attributes such as sign-in method, timezone, number of saved locations, name of your main saved location, and your in-app purchase and subscription history stored in Adapty.

Tide and location data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app or clear app data; we do not host a copy of your saved locations on our servers beyond what Adapty holds as profile attributes above.

3 — What we keep

  • Purchase and billing records that Apple, Google, or Adapty must retain for legal, tax, or accounting obligations. Those processors keep data under their own retention rules; we do not control their archives.
  • Aggregated or non-identifiable analytics and diagnostics (for example Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics) that are not linked to your account after deletion. These systems delete or anonymize data according to their automatic retention schedules.

4 — Timeline

We will confirm receipt by email and complete deletion within a maximum of 30 days from a verified request.

5 — Important notes

  • Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. You must request deletion using the steps above if you want your Firebase and Adapty data removed.
  • Canceling a subscription is done in the App Store or Google Play. Account deletion does not automatically refund or cancel an active subscription.
